Solution designers are locating a type of poetic justice in turning the ephemeral (i.e., disposable and wasteful) into the permanent (i.e., novel and collectable). Italian brand Saletti has designed an entire line of offerings—called Estetico Quotidiano—around this notion, with a variety of ceramic facsimiles of disposable kitchen products, from milk cartons to paper plates. This Sugar Can, designed by Alessandro Zambelli, is portion of their Gold Edition of metal lookalikes, remade in fine porcelain.
