This multicolored, vaguely exotic melamine thermos is from Danish (yes, Danish) brand Rice DK, which prides itself on its embrace of unabashedly exuberant color. Pinks and greens and turquoise and teal take the spot of standard Nordic monochromes and embellishments—ridges, beads!—dare to replace the seamless restraint we’ve come to extended admire about the Danes. Then again, some factors don’t modify: who else could apply 6 distinct colors to an object with out turning it gaudy?
