Swiss interior designer Till Könneker found a brilliant way to create a storage facility identified as “The Living Cube”. This magic cube design stores designer’s vast collection of vinyl records, clothing and footwear, retailers his bed above it all, and even has a space behind the frontage for miscellaneous products.
“Front Shelves. The shelves are created of dark stained wood. They are divided into about 16 sections. 12 sections can be utilised to neatly arrange books, CDs, DVDs, files or vinyl records as the original designer has completed. These 12 sections surround a portion exactly where a flat screen Television with a maximum diagonal measurement of about 48” can be placed conveniently. The other 4 sections are utilised for arranging wears. The uppermost clothing section can be used to shop folded clothes. This section has a clothes rack immediately beneath it that can be utilized to hang at least 10 to 15 jackets. And then there are two shelves beneath for keeping footwear.”
“Ladder. At the appropriate hand side, there is a beautifully crafted ladder that can be utilised to climb up to the loft bed. It blends beautifully with the complete living cube.”
“Loft Bed. The loft bed occupies the topmost portion of the cube. But it is so effectively designed that it does not resemble the standard dormitory bed. It accommodates a thin 3” mattress which can be utilised for relaxation or sleep.”
