We only just found the expressive paintings of Israeli artist Guy Yanai, whose little-scale oil on panel paintings variety from illustrative to abstract. Naturally, we were pleasantly amused by these whimsical portraits of iconic Eames and Gerrit Rietveld chairs—skillfully rendered in dabs and strokes, their types instantly recognizable as near-abstractions of line, shape and color.
